But here I will discuss the difficulties that the students faced during speaking and learning the English language.
The students learning the English language from childhood from school first class and reach university level but they cannot speak English fluently.
There is a lot of distance the students cover from school level to university level in learning the English language.
then what’s the problems the students are not able to speak the English language fluently.
In this article, I will highlight the problems that the students faced in learning or speaking the English language.
Problems Faced by Students While Learning English:
There is a lot of problems that are faced by the students in learning the English language.
Some problems are from the perspective of the teachers and some also from the perspective of students.
Sometimes they did not know about their mistakes which they do in speaking the English language.
They didn’t know about their grammatical errors while writing or speaking the English language. They have linguistic disorders such as syntax.
The students have a lake of fluency in speaking the English language. They are unable to use the right form of verbs in sentences or paragraphs.
They have a lack of vocabulary. Lack of understanding grammatical pattern, pragmatic and wrong punctuation.
Major reasons for these problems are
less skilled teachers,
the strength of the class,
attitude to writing,
less qualified teachers,
Poorness of education.
Use of mother tongue.
As well as the Urdu language in classrooms
and less grammar practice.
Role of English Language Play in Pakistan:
As in all over the world the English language also plays a very important role in Pakistan.
If you want to get a good reputation in professional life or education society to have to be good at speaking the English language.
The English language plays a very important role in Pakistan since from independence.
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah gave the very important role to English in Pakistan in the first educational conference.
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah declared the Urdu language is the national language of Pakistan. But never ignored the importance of the English language.
English is the language of newscasting, newspaper and in information technology. The English language is used in foreign politics, education systems, websites.
In Pakistan, the English language is used in schools, colleges, and universities.
Most of the books studied in schools, colleges and in universities in Pakistan are in the English language.
The English language plays a very important role in every field of life.
Problems faced by Pakistani Students in Learning the English Language:
Nowadays the English language is the need of the day. If you want to get a good reputation in education society.
English also plays a very important role in Pakistan. In Pakistan education system there is a lot of subjects which is studied in the English language.
we used it in Schools, Colleges, and Universities as well.it plays a very important role in every field of life.it is the official language of the military.
Environment plays a very important role in everything that we do.
The environment which is required for the learning the English language is not provided to the students.
In schools or in colleges or even in universities in Pakistan, classroom environments are not suitable for learning the English language.
The English language is not the mother language of Pakistan. English is the second language for Pakistani students.
So in the classrooms or speaking the English language they used to speak their mother language.
The second big problem for the students in learning the English language is the teacher education eligibility for teaching the English language.
The teachers are not as much as educated which is required for the teaching English language.
The teachers also used other languages like (Pashto, Urdu or other languages) during his lectures time.
In Pakistan, the Problems Faced by Pakistani Students in Learning the English Language because the English language is not their mother language.
These are some problems faced by Pakistani students in learning the English language.
Problems Faced by Students in Speaking the English Language:
In Pakistan the students studying English from the beginning even after eleven years of study. they have a lack of confidence in speaking the English language.
They learned English to writes a critical appreciation of writers for their syllabus to pass their examination and in our examination system, there is no oral skill test.
The students have a lack of vocabulary, lack of fluency in speaking the English language. Wrong punctuations and lack of understanding of the grammatical pattern.
The students feel shyness in speaking the English language. This is one of the biggest problems of the students.
The Difficulties in Learning English faced by the students and how to Overcome Them:
The difficulties we discussed above faced by the students in learning the English language.
In schools, colleges or any other educational system needs a good syllabus, trained teachers, and good speaking environments are very essential.
The study reveals that the environment is very important for the study. In every field or in every subject the environment has very importance.
If the environment is not suitable for the study. So the student will not take interest in the study.
The parent support and encouragement are also very important for the students in learning. The parents have to encourage the students to study and learn.
Teachers training is also required and the syllabus should be upgraded according to the needs and goals.
A teacher should be cooperative and friendly to the students so that the students don’t feel fear and shyness in class.
we have to facilitate students by making our class environment-friendly.
